Q: WHAT SHOULD I PAY FOR A 2001 JAGUAR S-TYPE THAT IS IN GOOD CONDITION WITH 100,000 MILES ON IT?
I ALREADY BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND ON KELLEY BLUE-BOOK IT’S WORTH $8,510.00 BUT THE DEALERSHIP IS ASKING ONLY $6,985. THE BANK WILL NOT FINANCE THIS CAR BECAUSE OF THE MILEAGE & THE YEAR. SO I WILL BE PAYING CASH MONEY AND AFTER NEGOTIATION THEY AGREED TO SELL IT TO ME FOR $5,720.00 INCLUDING EVERYTHING PAPER, ETC… SHOULD I PAY THAT?? EVERYONE ELSE THAT WANTS ARE LOOKING TO FINANCE IT BUT THEY CAN’T. I’M OFFERING CASH IN ILLINOIS??? PLEASE ADVISE THANKS…
A: jaguars are nice cars, but there are some reliability issues with these cars. now, you wont find a decent car for that amount of money anyway so in my opinion, you should take the offer because you wont find a better deal or a better car. though, a 2001 is a little old, but the price fits the cars year and mileage, so if the car is in good shape and well taken care of, than you should go ahead and buy the car, but in order to make a good decision, it is advised that you look at every car you possibly can before making the decision.
Q: florida lemon law for used vehicles?
ok so i bought a car in miami i was with a friend i was on a ticket from illinois where my original liscence is from, so i guess in miami they cant issue tags unless you have your L’s in hand so my friend put it in his name and im the 2nd on it. im having problems with the low class dealership that sold it to me. im current on payments but i took a second because i had to put money into it already but its only 2mths $600. now the asses say there not gonna transfer the title because i won’t pay anymore, i keep telling them it wasn’t fair that i had to put money in to it and pay but thats neither here nor there…WHAT CAN I DO?????????
P.S. they were also suppose to fix my a/c but failed on that too…
A: Lemon Law applies to NEW cars.
You bought the car AS-IS. This means NO warranty NO guarantee NO returns NO refunds!
Just because u had to fix the car does not mean u can stop making payments. If u dont want problems buy a new car next time or hire a mechanic to inspect the used car.
Q: Would this fall under the lemon law? Anyone familiar with it?
I bought a 2002 Kia Optima at the dealership in August. It started having problems shorlty after i bought it. But they said that they wouldn’t take it back, but they would fix it instead. Well when i took it in there, they couldn’t find the problem (I did this twice) Finally the car started gradually getting better on its own, and eventually it just went away entirely. Then a couple of days ago, the problem started up again. And last night it got to a point where I cannot start the car, and the engine light is on. Does this fall under the lemon law? Or is it too late? I live in Illinois if that matters..
A: No. Lemon laws only are for new cars not used cars.
