Q: Where on Chicago’s south side can i get a decent, cheap used car?
I’m 19 and I’ve been looking for a car for months! I’ve saved enough that i have about 2600 to spend on a car. I’ve been searching craigslist, but it’s hard to trust and often doesn’t give much info. I’ve also been to the south Chicago auto auction..but I’ve read bad reviews about getting cars from there, and they don’t have much in my price range. Ebay motors seems to be overpriced for what they have. I feel like dealerships are the next best option, but i don’t really know of any. Help? Suggestions?

I prefer a small suv..but I’m opening my options just to have transportation before my mom kills me!

A: Its really hard to find an SUV at the price range but what about a Toyota 4Runner or a Jeep Grand Cherokee? Its not a BMW but they get the job done, they are reliable, economical and good on gas. Personally if your searching for a car I would suggest Craigslist, sure Craigslist has some Scam Artist but all you need to be is careful and pay attention to Legit Adds and Scam adds. For one, if the seller refuses to give you his phone number or the location of the car then forget about the add. If the seller is asking you what your form of payment is before you have even looked at the car then disregard the add. Aswell as if the seller is located in another state and says he is willing to ship the car to your area then youll know its a scam. You need to make sure the car the seller has posted in the add is being sold in your local area that way you can physically see and test drive the car. You can always email the owner but always try to communicate on the phone or one on one with the seller. I have taken the liberty to search some cars for you within your criteria. I found some SUV’s under $3,000 for you in your area of Chicago.

Q: Help from police, Lawyers, or anyone who has had this problem having your DL lic suspended?
My brother was driving my car 7yrs ago. He was stopped at a stop light when a drunk driver hit the car behind my brother, and that car smashed into my car. It was clearly not my brothers fault. His and now my problem was I just bought the car, and had not received a 2nd insurance card, I only had the paper the insurance company faxed me at the car dealership, when I bought it, and I had it in my wallet. So my brother got a ticket for no proof of insurance.

The next day I went to my insurance company, and got a letter saying my car was insured, and my brother was allowed to drive my car. The ticket was dropped. A year later my brother moved back to Chicago, where we are from. My brother turned in his Nevada DL for an IL DL, and was given a IL DL. That was over 5yrs ago. My brother was stopped yesterday, for a out tail light. Even though he hit the side of the light and it popped back on, they ran his DL. It came back that his Nevada DL was suspended because of no proof of insurance.

I have a letter proof from my insurance, that at the time of the accident I had, and my brother had insurance.

Here is the problem: The police said they will not accept a letter from my insurance company, saying we were insured. They said I need to get in touch with nevada DMV and fix it with them. How Do I do that?
I live in IL, Chicago. So How do I get in touch with Nevada DMV, from Chicago?

A: You have to get in contact with the Nevada DMV because when all this happened and your brother was cleared, the Nevada DMV dropped the ball meaning that they did not enter this information into their computer system and that is why your brother is still getting hassled…
